Terms of Service — Social Ride

Please read these terms carefully. By registering and using Social Ride ("the app") you accept these conditions.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account you declare that you are at least 16 years old and you accept these terms together with the Privacy Policy.

2. Account and responsibility

  • You are responsible for the information on your profile and for

protecting your credentials.

  • You may not transfer your account to a third party, create fake

accounts, or impersonate another person.

  • You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes.

3. Acceptable use

The following is prohibited:

  • Harassing, threatening or publishing hate speech against other users.
  • Uploading explicit sexual, violent or illegal content, or content

that infringes copyright.

  • Scraping, reverse-engineering or attacking the infrastructure.
  • Promoting dangerous driving behaviour (illegal racing, substance use).
  • Impersonating other people or entities.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that breach these rules. Any user can report inappropriate content from the three-dot menu.

4. ⚠️ Road safety — VERY IMPORTANT

Social Ride is a supporting tool, not a substitute for your attention behind the wheel. By using the app you accept that:

  • You must not handle the phone while driving. Your legal duty is

to respect the traffic regulations of your country (in Spain, the General Traffic Regulation).

  • Configure the route, recording mode and any other setting before

you start moving. Ideally with a fixed mount and using voice commands.

  • Speed-camera, traffic-light and segment alerts come from

OpenStreetMap and are updated periodically, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy or full coverage. Always drive respecting the speed limits shown on the actual road signs.

  • Auto-pause detection and proximity tracking depend on the device GPS,

they may fail in areas with poor coverage (tunnels, dense urban areas, mountains).

  • **We are not liable for accidents, fines, damage or any other

consequences arising from using the app while driving.**

5. User-generated content (UGC)

  • You keep the intellectual-property rights over what you upload

(photos, videos, text).

  • You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to

host, process and display your content to other users of the app, solely for the purpose of delivering the service.

  • This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

6. Premium subscription and in-app purchases

Social Ride offers an auto-renewable Premium subscription:

  • Title: Social Ride Premium.
  • Duration and price: available as a monthly and a yearly

plan. The exact price, the length of the period and, where applicable, the price per unit are shown on the purchase screen inside the app —in your region's currency— before you confirm the purchase.

  • Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the

same period and price unless you cancel renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your App Store or Google Play account is charged within the 24 hours before the new period begins.

  • Management and cancellation: you can manage or cancel renewal at

any time from your account settings: on iOS, Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; the unused portion of the current period is not refunded.

  • Refunds: purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google

Play; we do not issue refunds directly. You must request them from Apple or Google as applicable.

  • Applicable terms: use of Premium is subject to these Terms of

Service (which constitute the EULA) and to our Privacy Policy.

  • Premium features may change in the future; we will notify you in-app

before applying material changes.

7. Intellectual property

The icons, brand, logos and source code of Social Ride are owned by us and/or our licensors (MapTiler, Stadia Maps, OpenStreetMap). You may not copy or redistribute them.

8. Service availability

We make every reasonable effort to keep the app operational 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend the service for maintenance, updates or force-majeure events.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The app is offered "as is", without warranty of accuracy,

availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

  • We are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit or loss of data.
  • Our cumulative annual liability, in case of litigation, is limited

to the amount you have paid for the app in the 12 months prior to the incident.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Privacy and security → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

We may terminate your account if:

  • You breach these terms.
  • The account stays inactive for more than 24 months (we will warn

you beforehand).

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of the consumer's place of residence.

12. Changes

If we materially modify these terms, we will notify you in-app at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the app after that date implies acceptance of the new terms.
